With all the posting on different LED units, I am wondering if you can mix and match different LED unit to get the warm white and still get that pop from the subtle blue? The local shop has AI whites on a similar tank but it is too white for my taste. Has anyone mixed and matched different fixture before going DIY? I will post pics of the build once the tank is in hand. | The Sol Blue looks a lot better than the Sol White. It's the blue LEDs that are used in the Sol Blue that make the difference. It uses 1 cool white, 1 blue, and 1 royal blue, all independantly controllable. The Sol White used 2 cool whites and 1 blue. It lost a lot of the depth you get with the royals, and made the tank a little windexy. |
