Default Mix and match LED

My wife and I are moving into our first home. I would like to upgrade my 115 (L 50x W 20x H 24) to a 300 DD (L 72x W 36x H 27). With all the posting on different LED units, I am wondering if you can mix and match different LED unit to get the warm white and still get that pop from the subtle blue? The local shop has AI whites on a similar tank but it is too white for my taste. Has anyone mixed and matched different fixture before going DIY?

I will post pics of the build once the tank is in hand.

funnyguymi has a tank of the exact same size. He used 7 Sunbrite T10 tubes over his tank and loves it.

I think he used 4x400 nm and 3x 10k (but I could have that backwards).

The Sol Blue looks a lot better than the Sol White. It's the blue LEDs that are used in the Sol Blue that make the difference. It uses 1 cool white, 1 blue, and 1 royal blue, all independantly controllable. The Sol White used 2 cool whites and 1 blue. It lost a lot of the depth you get with the royals, and made the tank a little windexy.

+1 on what evil said... It's a whole new world once you get those royal blue LEDs into the mix.

It sounds like the Sol Blue is the way to go. So for tank that is 72x36x27, how may units will I need to light this beast?
