Default Mj400 question?

What does this mean?

Powerhead Flow Rate: 106 gph
Circulation Flow Rate: 500 gph

It means as a powerhead (w/ the powerhead "fan" attatchment) it should move 106 gph, and as a circulation pump (statues, reactors, and how your using it on your fuge would fall into this category) with the proper fittings it should move 500gph w/ 0 head loss.....I'd imagine they could even be figuring this as it brings in 250gph and puts out 250 gph inturn circulating 500gph possibly (although that would be beyond misleading IMO)..... also keep in mind, these lose quite a bit with any kind of resistance or head pressure.

Not sure why it wont let me edit my previous post, but.....

These #s vary quite a bit from eachother because the powerhead "fan" spreads the flow out wider and is not as "focused" where the circulation pump attatchment is a direct, stream of flow forced in a single direction.

Would you think this to be to much flow through my fuge? It draws water from my surface skimmer, then into the fuge.

for the size of your fuge..... yes it could be to much IMO. I have the Large CPR Aquafuge and I think I am running like 120-150ish through it. I could probably bump it up some but I don't think I would go over 200 anyways personally.

And yes, I get cyano in my fuge from time to time...... not a big deal. I would certainly rather have it growing there then in my display, which is what a fuge is for anyways (to keep the nasty stuff in so it isn't in your display )
