Need a new lamp for my fuge.

Would 13w be enough for my 3.3g fuge? I'm now using a 24w and it's causing major cyno. I kept the light off for 3 days and the cyno receded big time. Turned it back on and a couple hours later the cyno bloomed again. So I think a little less light is called for.

Yeah that should be fine to keep the chaeto/ macros alive, but as long as you have the cyano bacteria any amount of light could refuel it. Is it just staying in the fuge tho?

Yup only in the fuge. Been like this since I made a big Oops with some salt and then changed the light from a 13w to the 24w. Part of me feels I should just tear it down and start fresh with it.
Got tons of sponge growing around the intake area. I mean it's covered in the stuff!!

I would switch it back to the 13w, and not really worry about it. Algaes and stuff are supposed to grow in your fuge, you just dont want them to grow in your display worst case maybe increase the pump on the fuge to increase the flow a little bit.

Well I'm already running an mj600. I'm thinking a 900 would be a bit to much. No? The fuge is only 3.3g's.

No you should be able to run that through there, I would atleast try it.
