Thumbs up OMG!!! Riptide gyre in action

I got my riptide today and did a video so CR members can see it in action. Unreal what this thing does! Wasn't crazy about a chord in my tank but the performance out weighs that by a mile

Ok got the videos on public now--sorry about that. Not a real big you tube guy! So here's a quick video during feeding that really shows the effectiveness of the gyre powerhead

Looks good, I like it. I heard you say in the first video that it makes your tank louder, is it the Gyre making noise? Or the water movement?

The gyre makes a little bit of noise. Carlos at coral vue's says that's normal for a few weeks tell the shaft and bushings wear in. The water noise is mainly what I meant. The surge it creates in the wave mode is pretty loud, but with about 9000 GPH of flow going on guess it should make some noise!lol

Pretty sweet! I'm looking forward to seeing the smaller model.

Keep us updated in a couple weeks, if the noise dissipates as it breaks in. I like the idea and concept and thinking about getting one but I can't stand any noise coming from the aquarium not even a slight hum.
