    Default PCs to t5s

I have a 24" coralife 130 watt PC fixture. I want to diy a t5s in a canopy. Can I use the coralife ballast and wire up some t5 ends. It will power 2 24" t5s. Has anyone done this before? Can any one see problems with this?
I get bored easily and change fish and tanks like some people change shoes.

Most likely not. They may fire, but they may not run at the correct wattage, or may potentially reduce the life of the bulb. Most ballasts that are used in fixtures like this aren't designed to fire different types of bulbs. T5s and PCs have different electrical requirements. T5HO ballasts aren't expensive, so just get one that you know will work correctly.

Thanks evil. I will sell this fixture and buy the right ballast.
