    Default Questions....

    OK right now I have
    1 protein skimmer 150 hanging on the tank
    1 power-head
    1 penguin 170
    1 UV filter (not hooked up well tubes kinked)
    and a bubble strip that is not doing mush bubbling
    I know I need more but what?
    What is RO and how does it hook up?
    Sumps how do they hook up?

    a RODI unit is a water purification it takes all of the dissolved minerals out of the water. and a sump is an extra tank that your sump goes in and return pump. and gives a safe place for your pods to grows www.melvesreef.com this is a good site for sumps

    Wow lots of stuff I still don't understand. Why do you need a sump? Its tanks under your tank? I am really lost here.
    So PVC pipe another tank
    pumps how strong do they have to be?
    AHHHH
    I wish there was a tank building designer lol

    sps is : small polyps stony corals, your hard corals like montipora, digitata LPS is a large polyp stony which is like a acan lord, candy cane, and cheato is a algae that is great for nutrient export in a sump

    All three are LPS. Generally speaking if the coral has a skeleton with large meaty heads/section then they typically are LPS. SPS have very small polyps a skeleton frame. Softies (Mushroom, zoas, colt) all lack a skeleton.
