Default Reef octopus hob cone issues ????

We purchased a Reff Octopus HOB cone skimmer for the wife's 40 gal breeder and have nothing but problems with this thing. It has flooded, pump failures and worst of all it has been near impossible to get it set to maintain consistent level of bubbles in the cone. We have had this POS for several months now Anyone out there got one of these and been able to get it to run correctly ?? Any help would be appreciated!

I have the reef octopus bh-2000 and have had some issues but coral vues customer service was probably the best customer service I have ever dealt with. ust send them a email or call them I did both and they were a great help.

Well the saga continues. They actually recommended that I stick cotton balls in the silencer to correct the issue. Seriously this is expert advice ! Very disappointed with this whole thing. I have ordered a precison needle valve and am going to splice it between the pump and silencer and see if we get better control then a plastic screw. Cotton balls, bah ha ha ha ha what a chump answer ! I am really regrettng buying this online from aqua cave. No support from them at all,it is brick and mortar from now on !
