Default Reef Octopus NS80 Nano Skimmer

Depends on how dirty your tank is. Could skim right away, could take a while. Some skimmers, particularly brand new ones, will need a break in period before they start skimming. They need to build up a slime coat before they will skim. Some- not all.

Did you add a surface skimmer to your HOB fuge or are you taking the fuge off and using the skimmer instead?
