I guess I can leave it empty for awhile to see instead of closing up the hole.
That's a good idea too ! Me I am going to start diving soon instead of scrubbing tanks. I love the fact that my weekly maintenance takes only 15 min and monthly takes about 45. I only have to worry about problems in one tank too! I must have been nuts to have three systems !! I actually am not afraid to open the electric bill anymore also. Which is saying allot since I work for them. Lol.

Gotta go clean my clubs ! Good luck

O.k. so my buddy comes over and tells me I'm nuts for breaking down a perfectly good tank. I'm keeping it open and putting only LPS in it. Maybe a couple of small fish so it's not completely boring, but not enough so I have to do water changes every two weeks.

If you guys are selling lps frags, let me know. Looking for colorful, but not crazy expensive frags. I'll post in want to buy forum too.

Going to Preuss next week to see what they have.

I am sorry to hear about you taking down your aquarium.

    Are you selling any Corals?

    What equipment are you selling?

How about a tank with just one gigas clam?
Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too.

So far I put one head of frogspawn I got from Alex and a brain coral. I'll see how things go with those and adjust my new LED's on them before I spend too much money.

Hey Steve, not shutting down as I thought. I'm going to try my hand at lps.

Good suggestion Pat! I might try a clam or two along with the lps.

That could be a good place to start! I have seen some great colors and prices at swaps on sps, but I never looked for lps in those days.
