    Default Setting up an ATO

I'm looking at using a 5g bucket. Placed on the floor next to the tank. I just bought the JBJ ATO and a Tom Aquatic's lifter pump.

I like the idea of the 5 gallon bucket. I have mine (5g)hooked up to an r/o and float valve. A few times my ato stuck on and all that went into the tank was 5 gallons of fresh water. Not enough to mess anything up and the ro is so slow that I caught it in time. Some folks have their's hooked up to a 55 gal drum and if it sticks...disaster.

My aqualifter always gets clogged, but I was running seawater through it. Maybe it will be more reliable with ro water since it's pure. I use a small maxi jet in mine with a good size tube.
    240g Great Lakes Glass! ETSS1400/panworld250,LED 120wX4 AJM, LED,2x sunbrite ,Tunzex4/,200gal sump/mixed reef/Biopellets. Hammerhead return. UV 57w. Chiller.

135g down and given to a buddy. New pic after the wall is repaired.

Nice purchase. Five gallons should last you awhile... I use a six gallon myself.

My advice is to be sure that the output from the ATO is above waterline of the display. That way it won't create a siphon back to the reservoir.
