Default Marineland Stealth Pro and original Stealth heaters now on full recall

The previous stop sale on the larger size stealth pro heaters has now been upgraded to a full recall of not only these heaters, but also the smaller sizes, and the original Stealth heater in all sizes as well. Check out the link for more info. In summary though:

There's a contact for United Pet Group - the parent company of Marineland, where current Stealth heater owners can call for replacement or refund. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our fish staff at the store, but as for now, UPG (Marineland) is handling all the replacements/refunds directly with the consumer.

I've never had the pro version but the originals are JUNK. I've been shocked by 2 out of the 4 I originally bought. None over 2yrs old.

Me either but I really loved the light on the top of the Pro versions that told if the heater had power and was actively heating.

I have the 250 watt heater that I paid $39.99 for a couple of months ago. I called the hotline and they only want to send me a check for $27.99 because I didn't keep my receipt. I then called Petsmart where I bought and they will give me $39.99 for it and I don't need the receipt. I'd rather do that than take the $12 loss. Petsmart will still get the $39.99 from them, so that's probably everyone's best bet is to return it to the store if you don't have your receipt.
