Sump design

I currently have a 75 gallon sump setup as follows. First chamber drain carbon and phosgaurd bag and a protein skimmer. The skimmer is on a homemade stand. This then flows into the refugium section with rock only loosely stacked for flow topped with chaeto. This finals drains onto the return section with a heater and a return pump. How is your sump setup? Im thinking about redoing mine any suggestions? I am going back to filter socks in the drain section and possibly live sand in refugium.
