    Default Surface skimmer/protein removal?

So today I hooked up a surface skimmer to my intake pump. Water surface looks like glass! Thinking maybe of adding a *sock* of some kind to the fuge intake part just to catch some of the thicker protein that the skimmer's pulling off the surface. Otherwise my thoughts are that it's just going through the fuge and right back into the tank. Does this make sense?

Your corals and other micro inverts will help process the material now that its available to them. A filter sock can lead to more dissolved nutrients because some of it can break down in the filter and dissolve into the water passing through. Keep up with your water changes as you have been and as long as your tank looks great, I wouldn't change anything.
