    For flashlights, yea.

    Reefs, doubt. Its like going to home depot to get t5 bulbs.

    its all about the color, almost any leds can be used for reefing just some are stronger then others with par vs lumens, but thats a pretty bright led its probally a ton of amps needed for the 900 lumen output. but at $13 a bulb it would be better just to get cree bulbs there are some that have a ton of lumens too that are only $15 too that would be better for a reef tank.

    Eeehhh..... its like beer, you have good beers and bad beers. They may look the same but on your tongue they sing a different tune.

    LEDs emit particular spectrums which affects growth and color. Cree's with the right spectrum are known for their performance and why so highly regarded for reef use.

    The P7 is basically equivalent to the Cree MC-E, just parallel wired versus series or parallel like the MC-E.

    They work, but you need to add more blues per white LED to balance things out. For that kind of performance, the new Cree XM-L is a better choice, and half the price.
