I'd like to know where ya'll have your tanks set up? Are there windows near by? If so how does/is this affecting your tank. Do you have animals that shed? How do you keep the fur out? Dust out?

my tanks are all in my room which is in the basement. I noticed if pet hair ends up in my tank my skimmer actually gets a hold of it.
It takes a long long time to build a coral reef. Step by step the reefs survive on partnerships. And the most important partners are you and I.
I have my tanks set up in my office/fish room, and yes their is a window but it has the blinds drawn and curtains closed most of the time. (their is plenty of light with out sunlight)
We have 3 Yorkies and fur balls haven't been a problem but they're not let in this room.
Dust well I would like to say we didn't have any but that would be a big fib, so we do dust regularly and it is no problem.
mine is in my room, i have it in the only corner that doesnt get light in my room which is hard cuz i have 3 windows and a skylight lol
The names Vette, Corvette. . .
Mine is in my living room directly across from a large window. The blinds are always closed and we are going to be purchasing curtains soon. We have a cat and a dog but neither one sheds very much.
Is it necessarily bad to have the sunlight going into the tank? Mine is right by a large window, at night it's not a problem because the lights are on until after dark, but in the morning, that's a different story.
No direct sunlight, but enough to provide ambient light.
Just wanted to know where peps had their tanks set up-and if they had an kind of draw backs to where it is-no mention of fear....

One in the study (135g) and now a nano at work (12g).
Non-shedding Shih Tzu.
The windows in the study do get condensation & moisture on them. Doesn't happen anywhere else in the house. Also hardware on the desk tends to tarnish in this room.
Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too.
