Default Won Brothers Protein Skimmer "Clean-up 200"

i picked this up on ebay for $109 a few weeks ago, just hooked it up and was worried about it working. I filled the tank started the cycle with raw shrimp and fired the skimmer up...........Nothing!!! Was i taken for $109 from the WON Brothers ? I asked some people and they said No bio load on the tank= No scum in my cup, I put in 125lbs of LR and its been 2 days, much load in my tank. Today i fired up the Won and i would say i Won!!! thing works great! best $109 i have spent. It took about 10 mins and my cup is full of scum. I have a Ehiem 1262 pump running it and i would say I'm very happy. this is the way i look at it. With something so simple in design( lets face it people make their own) Why spend $350 on something for the name? Time will tell, that's what all the brand name people will say. I will keep you posted
I went to Vermont for the week, When i came home my Ex had killed all my fish!

Be sure to keep us updated on it. As a rule in the past 'knock-offs' have proven to somewhat inferior, but with a few tweaks and modifications just about anything can be made to work.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
