Default Workhorse 7 question...

The couple links I have seen don't list 24w t5's use on a W7... I am wondering how many if possible I can run on a workhorse 7 ballast. Thanks guys/gals

the chart clicked through on their site says 4 24w bulbs, i use workhorse 7's on mine and i ran my 4 24w t5's from it, i have since upgraded to another wh7 so i can run actinics on one and daylights on the other.

here is their site:

http://fulham.com/index.php

just go to the right and pick the bulb type, then pick the wattage and how many bulbs you want to run and it will give you a ballast that works for you and also a wiring diagram.

hope this helps.

Yup looking like I can only run 4x 39 or 4x 54 on the 7, have to use a 5 or 8 for 4x24

From my past discussion with evilc66 to run the UVL 18" bulbs in VHO, the WH7 was needed. I think this is why its not on the list for 24"HO

Right. The WH7 will run anything you throw at it. We are running 12" T5's on them without issue. Now, what Fulham doesn't tell you is that the ballast overdrives by about 30%, similar to an Icecap 660. If you are using this ballast, bulb cooling is highly recommended.

is the wh7 the only one that overdrives the bulbs? or do others as well?

It's the only one that Fulham makes. The only other ballast that I know of that overdrives is the Iceccap/CoralVue 660.
