    Default another whatsis?????

Found this on a rock today. It moved really fast which is what drew my attention to it as it's only about the size of an apple seed. I assumed it was a little snail until it whizzed across the rock, so I thought I'd check it out. The fuzzy stuff is from the little piece of garage carpet I put it on and it kind of stuck to, but the black stuff was white when I first got it out.

here's the outside of the shell

and here's what's left of the inside (with the addition of the fuzzy stuff)

Is this a snail, and if it is then what kind of snail can move like that?

Thanks - it looked exactly like the pictures I found of stomatella.

I hate pulling those things out when I don't really know what they are, but I can't just leave them in there until I know what they are. So many issues with this hobby!
