    i have had a couple of these beofre but had no idea what they were. this is the first good pic ive gotten. what im talking about is the little red sps shaped thing on the very side of my shroom. any ideas?

    Its a type of coraline algae I believe.

    Foraminifera (aka forams) related to amoebas but they are sessile and build a skeleton. They pose no threat to your reef.

    I think I know what your talking about? The darker burgundy looking thing?
    Its the same thing I believe just a different shape structure?
