    Default Coral?

So this is what came of a new piece of live rock my girl picked out because it had a lot of purple colors on it lol. Im trying to figure out what it is,it started smaller and more sparse and has now gotten a lot bigger and thicker. We think its pretty cool hopefully it is not something harmful to the tank.

Sorry for the pic quality she has the phone with her at work had to use my phone.

Just make sure it doesn't spread to the rest of your live rock, it could potentially cover everything, including other coral. Just try and place the piece of live rock with it on the sand bed by itself and you should be good.

Do you mean green star polyps if so I think they are kinda cool. It said they thrived on phosphate rich water I plan on moving to only ro water am I gonna have to worry about the coral dying as the phosphate levels go down? It also said they are very hardy so I'm not sure.

They grow like weeds in any tank, and yes they are very hardy, but hard to contain. I personally lost 4 very nice zoa colony's that were spreading very nicely, due to GSP spreading in my tank( before I got rid of it). My friend lost multiple acans and zoas due to his outta control GSP, so as I said try to keep it isolated and on the sandbed or build it, it's own rock island so it won't take over, it's a very fast grower.

In my own opinion it's more of a pest, a very pretty pest, than anything.

Are anemones pretty tuff/basic or more complicated?
