    Default coral I.D.

    O.K. everyone,this was sold to me as a Faviite but after looking at some reference books I'm leaning towards Platogyra.The corallites are ceriod(joined together) with meandroid(maze like) examples as well.It produces long sweepers about 4".So what do ya think.

    From looking at your pic and then going to the link I would go along with Brain Coral for sure. One thing to make sure is that you give brain coral room it is very aggressive and it can reach out some distance and kill other items in your tank.

    That is a maze brain a moon brain has larger lobes, at lest mine does.
    Does water always taste like salt and poo????

    Looks an lot like my Favia.. and they put out REALLY LONG sweepers that you can hardly see.... now that I can compare the two yours looks more like a maze... see how the ridges are pretty regular in shape on mine and yours is kinda wonky and odd sizes.....
