Default what kind of worm do i have

today i picked up about 75lbs of LR from a Boston Reefer user, i got a good deal. The rock was in a 20 long in his basement with a light. he said it was there for a few months. he has done water changes every few weeks. i got the rock home and was looking at it when i put it into my tank( let me say this, my tank has no fish in it. Just rock from yesterday and today, the tank has not run a cycle yet.) anyway the rock is covered with little worms they are kinda pinkish red with little white hairs kinda bristles. i don't know what they are. i pulled off most of the big ones that i could see 1/2" to 2" but there are still tons of small ones left. i will try to post a pic if this helps.
I went to Vermont for the week, When i came home my Ex had killed all my fish!

sounds like bristle worms... beneficial critters, IMO. Bigger ones can be a pain. BTW, try not to physically touch them with bare skin... those "hairs" are mighty irritating.

yep agreed, they are bristle worms. keep them in there they are awesome scavengers. I have pulled them out of my tanks that have been over 6" long. and yes those hairs are like grabbing a cactus!!!!

You might want to watch out for those "Reefer Users" be they from Boston or anywhere else. I hear they tend to lose their memory. :D
