Species Description:
The red lionfish, Pterois volitans, is an Indo-Pacific marine fish that has been recently introduced to the east coast of the United States including coastal Florida.
I've added a couple more pictures that were taken.
It does look to be very long and skinny with fins running the entire length of it's belly.
Seems to be too skinny to be lionfish, and not sure about the goby. Right color...not sure if it gets that long (but I'm looking at the details). This is an average man's hand for scale.

So this fish is at least 6-8" in length. Definitely not the above mentioned goby.
