    Default Acan placement?

    Hi peoples

How high up can I place my Acan? I'd really like to get it off the sand bed.

Probably about half way up with 4 T5's, just be careful with the flow as you get high up. I have mine worked up to the range of my zoas.

Acans are a low light coral. I wouldn't put them up too high. If you do, make sure there is some shade for them.

I would suggest sand bed. The acan will tell you over time if it likes the lighting and flow or not. You need low flow but there should be flow in the area.

I hope it helps. You can show some pics of what options you have in the tank, that would be helpful to steer you in the right direction.
