My gonio was fluorescent green. I have been feeding it heavily(3xweek) I also started dosing with iron and manganese. It's early but some color is coming back. polyps still look shriveled.
Gonio get some kind of decease no one nos whit it is Dr Ron is doing
some research on them. But no results as of this time
from all i read about 85% or lost so the Chance of keeping them is low
but a few lucky reefers have man
Good news friends, After intensive feeding as well as dosing with iron and manganese, my gonio is starting to show real signs of recovery. It's color is coming back, the polyps are extending and are much more vigorous. What do you say to that?
What food mixture did you end up using?Quote:

Congrats! Whatever you are doing keep it up! And secondly let the rest of us know what it is you are doing.
We made the same mistake, thinking we could rescue it from an LFS, but seemingly overnight we lost it after about 90 days.
Lighting 2 coralife 50/50 actinic white combos @36 watts total and 1 florescent at 5500k.That puts me at @ 4.5 watts/gal. No metal halide.
Feeding was done with Oceanlife Invert food mixed with their plankton mix. Every other feeding I substitute mysis shrimp for the plankton. I turn off my main pump and feed with a turkey baster. Pumps stay off for 20 min.
What levels are you keeping th Iron and Mg at?
very cool!
I haven't heard of anyone bringing one back from the near dead! At least not anyone who isn't named Sprung! hehehe
Keep up the good work!
sarah
I have brought one back from about as dead as you can get. It has been 1 year and a week. I've also raised one that started out 2 polyps big. It is now 9 months old.Quote:
