probably Cynarina lacrymalis,BTW, they are an excellent indicator of tank health. When water is perfect, you'll get huge polyp extension and sometimes feeder tentacles in the day.If yours is looking good(picture suggests),tank is doing well.I like to use certain corals in my tanks to let me know how the water quality is.Too lazy to test params.Euphyllia and Cynarina are good at that.

Hear is a pic under act only i will get a better one later.

Your is a Trachy Jerry, check the underside of skeleton to see if its conical shaped. If so its a free-living SB coral.Indirect halide lighting, acclimate slowly to halides as many are deep-water corals and moderate/low currents seem to be best IMO

I just fed mine and it's smiling right now! It's tentacles are extended a lot during the day. At first, I thought this meant it was hungry again. Geez...I didn't want to pop it. lol Now I know it's' just a happy camper. Need to change my shirt...arms are all wet again.

Do you have your brain's mounted on rocks, or do you have them laying in the sand? I notice that when I shoved my rock down into the sand that my brain actually got what I would call "roots" after awhile. It seemed to like it better in the sand.

OOPS don't mean for it to be that BIG

Here, those "meat brains" are just known as meat corals... there's a member of our local club that has an amazing specimine... I'll try to use my suave finesse to get him to log on and post a pic soon.

So should I take mine off the rock (if I can) and let it just be in the sand? I wonder how they stuck it to that small point rock its on? Got a puppy showing tonight. Gosh it's hard selling these baby's. :(
