The spawn does have a pair that host in it, but the hammer does not.

printthread.php?t=7996&pp=40LOL, got cha now Tom. Good thoughts though! Yes I am treating some HA frags but that has been in the grow out tank.
I've been dipping them and then rinsing thoroughly before placing back in the system.
On another note, I looked at the tank last night after the Wings game and didn't see anything out of the ordinary going on. I woke up again at 4 am and again no changes.
OK my next thought is lighting. My Euphy. polyps tend to get smaller when a bulb needs to be replaced. I know yours aren't smaller their closed but it still could be the culprit. I have bulb replacement staggered so only one at a time needs to be replaced but if all of your bulbs need to be replaced the affect on the corals may be more pronounced. Once a bulb reaches the 9-10 month range on my tank it's day is done. If you're overdriving your bulbs and/or have a longer photoperiod your bulbs would age more quickly. If possible I'd try switching the bulbs sooner and see if that takes care of the "weirdness".
HTH,
Tom
OK I am nowhere near a "pro" but just a thought...has your skimmer been acting funny? The reason I ask is that I had some shenanigans happen a while back (skimmer went crazy)and it was never "confirmed" but it seem to be "coral spawning" due to the time of year and the phase of the moon...sounds crazy but the moon has been full recently. I researched it but everything went back to normal without me having done anything....like I said ...just a thought...or maybe "warfare"?
