im more or less talking about the firefish i guess....
even the the snowflakes can be in there own tank... not jars...

i just find it kinda odd. i know if i had the space the size of a twin bed to move, i'd wanna kill myself.

I think the FF are in jars/lids as they are jumpers and I know they're not in there to long as they get shipped quickly. It does look sad...

Exactly.
They are hard to catch, tend to jump and arn't there very long. It is sad but so is chasing a fish around the tank for 10 min causing its heart to race and then throw it in a bag for who knows how long going to an LFS. To much stress less stress to isolate them better for the fish and the company. If you would like to see them free of there little holding cells tell your LFS to place an order with A&M for firefish and snowflakes and take them home. A&M doesnt sell to hobbiest just LFSs. Just dont put them together as a snowflake stomach is smaller then the jars the firefish are in. lol
(hope this doesnt sound like I work there. I dont I just understand some of the supply chain stuff)

They are QT'd and treated for some period of time (depends on fish I assume) and then offered for sale. They probably don't stay in there that long as what LFS do you know that doesn't have firefish in stock? I believe they do it for jumping as well since they keep jawfish in the peanut buteer jars too. Also, the snowflakes could escape since most of the cubes don't have tops. Plus real-estate is at a premium, what else could you put with a snowflake besides maybe bigger aggressive fish?
