Default Assessor Basslet - Your Assessment?

Anyone had any experience with an Assessor Basslet? I think the yellow ones are stunning, though the black ones are pretty cool too. Not used to paying so much for a fish I won't eat, so I'd like to hear a bit about it first. My DT is ~55gal, and the fish I have all seem to coexist.

I have never had one of these fish.....but looks really nice!

From what I have read, it does seem to be too demanding or hard to keep.

There's not a lot of danger in my tank. A Coral Beauty might be the toughest fish in there. But she's welcomed everyone, with just a bit of hazing.

Definitely a cool fish. I'm looking for a second Yellow Assessor, but like you said they're a bit pricey. Not to mention you can't really sex them.

Ours swims upside down most of the time and gets along with everyone. Our most aggressive tankmate is a Sixline Wrasse and it does not pick on the Assessor, but our Sixline is relatively nice for a Sixline... so your experience may vary.

Upside down? Kinda glad to hear that. Mine dove into the frogspawn immediately upon release. Then, it disappeared for days. One night, after lights out, I saw it in the back of the tank. It showed lots of battle scars. Now, it seems to be happy in the back/top of the tank, but it swims on its side most of the time. Coloring up nicely, and the fin nips are healing amazingly fast.
