Banggai Cardinals - Holding again

Very cool! Any updates? My Banggers have held a few time but not to term yet. :(

No babies yet. I checked again this morning. Those fish are so skittish! I didn't get a good look before they darted back into their cave, but the male's jaws were still pushed out. Not sure if it's a new batch or the old batch. LOL

I was guesstimating that he be ready to spit sometime within the next week, based on how long he held the live batch that I got out. He seemed to hold those for an extra few days.

I fed them this morning and only the female darted in and out to get to the mysis, so maybe this is a good sign. At the same time, I positioned the flow in such a way that it pushes food right into their cave, so they really need to never come out. ...what was I thinking?? LOL

I keep a new set of freshly hatched brine ready to go, so I'm ready when they are!!

And, there are not going to be any babies this time. :( Papa came out eating this morning....but there are no babies. Unless they are hiding in the cave. I did not tear apart the tank to look. I would be shocked if they were there.

So back to square one. Time to feed papa 3-4x a day so he doesn't die from starvation!
