I'm sure someone will chime in that can help. I will shoot a couple pm's to guys that can point you in the right direction.

I know one guy to ask would be fishtal as he breeds clowns and some dotty backs

I sent a PM to Skyhigh as he used to breed B&W Clowns quite regularly (I got my pair from him 2 years ago)

More details would help a lot.

Off the bat, I am thinking it is a feeding issue. Are you using enriched live rotifers?

How are you setting up the larvae tank?

^ betting not making it past 3 days- feeding is an issue.

What are you feeding the newly hatched? And as tanglovers asked- fill us in on al tank and maintanance info ya got, to help us give you the best answer we can.

my clown has been laying her egss in a shell so on the 8th night i have been transfering the shell into a 5 gal tank that i have put water in from my main tank. it has a heater & a bubble wand in it. my local aquarium shop said that they have had customers having success feeding fry with dt's & microvore so that is what i had been trying so far.

I think your fry should be in rotifers... green water. I'm hoping one of the other breeders can chime in further here. They kind of eat constantly. (the fry...not people like Skyhigh and Fishtal...although..maybe they do. LOL)

I have never heard of anyone having any decent results with anything except live rotifers and greenwater (live or IA). I have tried doing batches with the Reef Nutrition preserved rotifers and without the initial few feedins being live rotifers I have had very poor results.

IMO, live rotifers are the only way to be succesful.
