Anyone ever had clowns to breed ? I have a pair that have not breed ,but the female will fan the sand with her tail. She does this alot .She will fan the sand all the way down to the glass on the bottem of the tank .Is this telling me something , or do I have a crazy fish .If she is getting ready to mate is there something I can do to get her on in action .Her and her friend are in a 30gal with a LS urchin and a striped damsel.Could her tank mates be the problem?

Michael. nice to see you buddy. I would just let them be. they should find a good spot and then lay some eggs. if they have a good secluded spot to lay then they should spawn

My GSM clown is the only fish in one of my 10g tanks since I bought him almost 2 years ago. He had a mate, but she didn't survive transport to the store. He has displayed what seems like an instinctual behavior since I brought him home, clearing the sand all the way down to the glass. "He" is now a "she" after all this time, and even though she is still the only fish in the tank, she still displays this behavior. HTH.
