    Default Clowns not getting along

So I have 1 Onyx Clown (had 2 one jumped today) and two naked clowns. They used to get along great, hosting anemones like crazy side by side. Then the other day I notice one of the nakeds with shredded fins. And the nakeds arguing with the big Onyx. This was strange because like I said they had always got along. Now the nakeds had always hated the small Onyx (male) and picked on him until he jumped today. Now the nakeds are picking on the big Onyx . What gives, any ideas. I can't catch and seperate because its a 155 with tons of rock and coral.

in my experience clowns tend to not get along with other clowns that are not their mate so what you're describing is typical behavior from what ive seen.

I know they don't normally, but they were together for about 1 1/2 years.

They probably kept each other at bay since it was 2 on 2. Now the advantage is gone and it's fair game.

Typical behavior. The clowns are maturing and pairing off. You'll have to remove either the nakeds or the onyx, they will harass the other one until it jumps too.

I agree with the maturing and pairing off- Its time to drive off the outsiders/third wheel.

Well the onyx lost the battle before I could get them out. Both jumped. I tried to catch the naked clowns last night and couldn't do it, and Mrs. Onyx jumped today between 8:30 and 10:30 when I was away from the house. I am really bumming (sniff, sniff) RIP Mr and Mrs Onyx.

Sorry that you lost your Onyx pair!! I love my pair!

Interestingly enough, I have 3 pair (6 total) in my 300g. Most of the time, they hang out together, play at being Swingers during the day, then by night they go back to snuggle with their original mate.
