awww... they are so cute! good luck with getting them on to frozen
Ok I did a no no. I ordered 1 lb. of live brine shrimp to feed the 4 fry that are about 4 months old. I couldn't get them to eat frozen, and I couldn't grow out the brine shrimp fast enough. Since the adult brine are fairly close to hikari mysis in size, I thought that maybe once they get used to eating the live adult (enriched) brine shrimp, I will freeze some of them and try to get them to eat that. If they do, I will start to mix in the frozen hikari mysis. They LOVE the live adult brine shrimp. I've never seen them eat so much. Lets hope this works. Brine shrimp is not good for them, even though it is enriched with super selco.
***Note to others:
Do NOT order a full pound of Live adult brine shrimp unless you realise how many that is. (I was clueless) I have a 10g tank FULL of adult brine shrimp. They are packed in there. I can't see the back or the bottom of the tank. I'll be making Brine Shrimp ice cubes with the empty mysis (Cube) pkgs. I will enrich then with super selco first. You can't get any fresher then that, lol.

You sound like a woman with a plan!!!
Here are some updated pics of the fry.
They are getting big!!! They must be little chow-hounds!!! ;)
If they turn out anything like my draco marine ponies, I better buy stock in Hikari. For the 8 draco ponies I use 4 full cubes of mysis a day. Plus 4 cubes in my other pony tank. So at 8 cubes a day, I buy a lot of it. Thank goodness I get it for 2.50 a pkg. at work.
When I had some babies, I would use a long air wand, kept the water temp at 80F and raised the back of the tank so all the shells from the Brine Shrimp would settle at the lowest end of the tank for easy cleaning. The first week they will be living off of their yoke sack, running the air wand about 3/4 up the back side of the tank helps them be able to hang on to some plants, just some plastic straight long leaf types. Using the air wand to close to the bottom of the tank causes to much water movement and plus the little seahorses will have more of a chance for air embolism. Just have the air wand going strong enough to make a small current, if it is to strong they will have a hard time to hold on to things plus causes them to float with the tails upward, witch is not good, will cause air intake into their system. Best of luck.
