Both the pics and the video were taken with my ancient digi cam. It's a canon PowerShot A200. About 5 years old and well used at that. I want a new one, but somehow all of my $$ is spent on seahorses and seahorse related stuff so the camera never gets bought. Maybe if the tax man is kind to me I will buy a new one. I've been avoiding getting all of the stuff together for the accountant to do our taxes. Being self employed and owning 2 businesses is not always a good thing. ;(

Update
The fry keep suprising me. Just about all of them have nice orange tummies, so apparently they have no problem eating the newly hatched bbs. That's a relief. I really didn't want to culture rotifers on top of everything else. That made me happy.....I'm not so happy that the mom of these fry is looking awfully skinny this evening and the daddy is behind his favorite hitch.
Why do I get this sinking feeling that it wasn't a cigar she passed out to him after he gave birth???? ------> Angie reluctantly gets out the 10g tank for a double kriesel system. ------> then puts it away and pulls out the 30g long that holds 4 kriesel bowls. Also puts in an order for more EZ eggs, 2 more brine shrimp hatchers, and 4 more of the plastic drum style fishbowls to make extra kreisels out of.
I've officially named this pair....Mom is Myrtle (as in fertile myrtle)( ha ha ha Myrtle is my mother in law's name as well) Dad is Pretagin (pregnant again) My hubby got a kick out of the names. Hey, if the shoe fits right??
This is gonna get ugly if they all reproduce every 14 days. Not fair....there's only 1 of me and 8 of them. They say that new ortho birth controle patch is water proof.....one patch could last my little ponies a long time 1cm x 1cm pieces ought to do it......wouldn't that be nice??? Just kidding, but it was a happy thought. ;)

How many ponies do you think would live comfortably in a 35 gal hex??? Not just comfortably but haveing the room that they diserve. Would a 30 gallon standard tank be a better for them??
-
lol ... sounds like you gona have you hands full.. :):)

What are the dimensions on the 35g hex tank? I've never seen one. 2-4 max I would assume. No more then 4. The Northern Erectus are smaller then the southern and do not swim around as much as the reidi, kuda, or even my southern erectus.
-
I know it's 20 inces across any set of sides. I'll get a depth but I tink it's abot 24 inces or so.
-
OK the tank is a 35 hex which measures 23X20X24.
Looked it up on All-Glass.com so it should be pretty close.

Sorry to say, I lost all of the fry. One of the brakers popped last night while we were asleep. This morning all were gone. Oh well, there will be a few hundred more in 2 weeks. Maybe I will get a good culture of rotifers going by then. The only things on the circuit was the kreisel tank and my 65g that's cycling. Go figure. I have no idea why it popped. It's not overloaded.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully all will be well with the next set of babies.
