Default I'm a sucker for a cute fish

I saw this little guy (baby naso about 2 inches or so) in the Sumner Fish store last week.
He was eating a piece of mysis shrimp. I noticed he was VERY skinny..
So yesterday I went back and he was still alive and still eating..
The people there said he wont eat anything but mysis.

SO I had to have this little guy..

I want to try and save him..

The funny thing about this little guy..
I drip acclimated him for a while and dropped him in the tank.. I am not kidding in about 60 seconds I put a little food in the tank and he came right out and started eating little pieces of frozen food.
I was shocked. he was boss hoggin' his way around the tank the rest of the night..
No stressed, not afraid. just crizin' around..
I did try some tiny particles or nori and he took right to them.(they had to be like 1/8 shavings)
And this morning he was out and about..
So what I plan to do is feed small amounts three times a day (normaly I feed my tanks once a day) in the smaller tank till he gets beefed up..
I got some pics for you..
I put the one with the chalk bass in there so you can see how small he really is..
The front shot for how skinny he is
you can see in the pic without flash he has a tiny twist of chato in the corner of his mouth. he had that thing for like an hour
AND the Big naso in the other tank was swimming in the corner and this little guy was nearly mimicking his every move. funny stuff.

Nice stuff Mytee, he doesn't look too healthy but sounds promising based on appetite and personality. Any idea on how to sex them? Might have a potential love match on your hands!

I have no idea how to sex them till they get over 5 inches or so (it think) and the male will start to get streamers on his tail.

Update.. just fed again and he's A HUNGRY fish..
I will continue to power feed him till he's fat and sassy

Pretty cool. My Naso loves Calurpa and I believe that it is easier for them to digest then the Chato. Great fish to have if you can get him on the healthy side!

Are you planing to put him/her in with the other Naso? I ask as I have not heard of that working out so well even if you do find a male and female. That is to say if they are not added at the same time and even then I hear it is pretty risky.

I would be interested in what your plan is to see how it works out.

    Good luck!

That is a great fish, I would love to have one. You have a textbook picture of what coraline algae looks like in the tank on the right. Wow.
