    Default jawfish dead:(

my jawfish that i had for about 6-7 months was getting randomly attacked by my clownfishI never thought that a clownfish would do such a thing. it all started 2 days ago when my jaw hid all day. then the next day i saw him pop his head out and the clown kinda went after him. Then i saw him get out of his cave in the clowns territory and they went at him. Now i come home today and it is dead??? is this normal. maybe mating behavior is making the clown more territorial. Its an Occy so i didnt think such a thing would happen.

My clowns used to attack me when I put my arms in the tank... I wouldn't put it past them to kill another fish in the tank if they wanted to.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Pearly jawfish don't take well to any competition in my (unfortunately) limited experience. A had a pair that didn't last a week with my clowns and royal gramma in the old tank. Clowns are damsels in disguise...and can be equally as territorial.
