and how do I fix it.
and how do I fix it.
Not an expert in fish disease but my guess is marine ich. To fix it...
- Ensure physical parameters are stable (i.e., temp and salinity)
- Incorporate garlic into diet
- Provide a variety of quality foods (esp. seaweed)
My guess is the first one caused the problem. Since your tang looks well fed. But 2 and 3 will help with healing.

I dont think its Ich, I've had it before but I'm no expert either. the only change I've had is temp but its never lower then 78. I put my 2nd heater back in to get it buck to 80 (normal for my tank) water change tomorrow.
i would say ick! also is the fish rubbing up next to rocks and swooping down on the base of your tank on its side ? if so those are signs of ick bud they are scratching when they do that
it may be Ick, it just didn't look like it at the start.
I'm not sure it's ich either?? The fish looks really fat and well feed. What types of foods to you feed?

It looks like Marine Ich to me, maybe with a secondary bacterial infection around the eyes.
