    Default My sailfin tang

My new Sailfin tang seems to have itch but it seems to be totally ok otherwise. He eats like a pig, I feed him spirulina flakes and freeze dried plankton. Should I worry or take him out of my tank? All of my other fish are healthy and it seems like he is getting over the infestation on his own.

    Your opinions please.

need a pic please. also did you freshwater dip him?
get some fresh water, preferrably distilled or ro/di
make sure its the same temp as the tank.
put the fish in and watch him to make sure he's ok
do not keep him in there any longer than 2 minutes tops
i have had good success with treating ick this way and other fish diseases.
It's all about the reef. :YEAH:

An infestation like more than you can count I would consider extremely bad. Ive had two tangs with little to no ich, only picking it up slightly if water gets to cold at night. I usually dose garlic in their food and keep the tank warm. Two things ive noticed ich do not like.
    Good luck!
55 Gallon. One year old, and looking SUPER.

Well, I guess he's ok now. He doesn't have a trace of itch on him. His confidence also seems to have gotten better and he is giving my other fish a taste of what he was feeling a couple days earlier. My other fish have no trace of itch either? Is this normal?
