Hello Captive Reefs,
I would be thrilled if someone coudl solve this mystery for me. Around 9:30 p.m., my Six Line Wrasse was doing fine and looked healthy in my 29 gallon BioCube. I went out for a bit with my friends and my parents cleaned the glass interior of my tank for a clearer view of the sea life around 11:30 p.m. When I got home, I noticed my six line wrasse was sitting on the surface of the sand bed and not moving; he was more or less floating with the ciruclation of the water. I wanted to make sure he wasn't dead so that I could extract him before a spike in ammonia but then he disappeared and could not be found anywhere in my tank!!!!!!!! I moved the rocks around and sifted the sand to see if he indeed died and was lodged in between the sand layers. I checked the back chambers to see if he jumped in the back, since they are notrious for jumping and he was not there either. Do you think I should hold off for a couple of days and see if he is just hiding and playing a trick on my eyes? Please advise. Thank you!
P.S. I turend on the lights in my tank to see if he would come out to go "hunting" again since other forums said that once the lights turn on they go back to their daily regimen, but there was no luck in doing this either.
