Thanks Renee. Marty sent me a PM today. He has the seahorse and is going to do what he can with it. It was a day late getting to him, so he's not sure if he can get all of the cultures. Darn USPS. The said they'd refund the shipping chages since it wasn't there on time. Big deal....that doesn't help me at all. Marty said it wasn't pretty when he got it. There's a reason I named this thread "It never ends". Just once I'd like to have things go smoothly for me. I'm a walking, breathing disaster, lol. If it can go wrong, it will if I'm involved. ;( Even my kids and husband said I must have done something terrible in a previous life to deserve all of the bad luck I have in this one. It's a good thing I'm stubborn. Any normal person would have given up by now.
I will let everyone know when I hear back from Marty. If he can't get the bacterial cultures, it won't help us much.

Aw Geez! I'm so sorry. Cultures may be very hard.

Here is a partial necropsy report. Not all cultures could be done since USPS was late with the delivery. This was done by Marty "labdoc" over at seahorse.org Thanks Marty!
Bacteria (rods) everywhere which doesn't say much. After about 24 hours post mortum they just grow and it gets impossible to figure out whether they caused disease or not. No evidence of mycobacteria or Glugea and that's good.
A big trematode in the abdomen and numerous larvae in the swim bladder. I'll try to get some pics on Monday. Was this horse WC?
If he comes up with anything else, I will post it here.

Angie, I am SO sorry to hear about your little guy... we were all rooting for him. You speak of bad luck, but surely you've had enough. Only happiness for you and your ponies from here on out! (((HUGS)))

Angie, that truly is a sad story and my heart goes out to you. It would tear me apart to have to do that to one of my critters. But in the same breath you are truly doing good in this. You are assuring a healthier, happier life for the rest of your herd. And for that you should be happy. People like you who are passionate about this hobby and truly want the best for your animals is what makes this a great hobby and I think will truly help sustain this hobby.
My hat goes off to you!!!!

Thanks everyone. I love ya all for all of the support you give me. I do have 3 remaining Erectus that are happy and healthy. 2 Females and 1 male. Poor Guy, lol. The females are flashing colors at him and dancing around the tank, but he just isn't ready yet. He doesn't pay any attention to them, lol. His pouch is maybe a 1/4 inch. Apparently the females are older then he is. He's a handsome guy though. (And will be preggers non stop if the females get their way....darn loose women) I will post some pics of him and the ladies tomorrow after work. Lights are out for the night and I have to work till 5 tomorrow. Both females are silver with pink spines. That is the same color my female in my avatar was before she turned red / orange. I'm hopeing. The male is jet black with snow white saddles. I've never saddles so stark white before. Very defined.
I'm off to bed. G'night all.

Here's the link to the org that has the results of the necropsy.

The cultures couldn't be done due to USPS delivering the package late.
DO NOT use USPS for overnight delivery. Marty said he has never gotten one on time with them. I wish I'd have know that BEFORE I sent it with them. I would rather have drove an hour to fedex it then have it be late.

I just got more information from Marty (labdoc) over at seahorse.org. It appears it was worse then I thought. Here is the latest news:
[The fungus looks like Aspergillus which doesn't matter because they are all treated with the same meds. I also found rare mycobacteria which means you may have an infected tank. Not to panick, just keep an eye out for similar lesions on your other livestock. if they do appear then it would be time to do something.
Marty]
I'm not at all happy to hear about the mycobacteria. Lucky for me, my remaining seahorses do not seem to be effected at all. I do keep a close watch over them "just in case." I am thinking that since I removed the sick male from the tank and kept him in the QT / hospital tank for months, I may have kept the disease from spreading to the others.
