my jawfish that i had for about 6-7 months was getting randomly attacked by my clownfishI never thought that a clownfish would do such a thing. it all started 2 days ago when my jaw hid all day. then the next day i saw him pop his head out and the clown kinda went after him. Then i saw him get out of his cave in the clowns territory and they went at him. Now i come home today and it is dead??? is this normal. maybe mating behavior is making the clown more territorial. Its an Occy so i didnt think such a thing would happen.

what kind of jaw was it? clowns are the most evil fish in the ocean if you have a pair or they r babies. i have one clown right now and it is a baby but i will NEVER get him a friend NEVER EVER EVER!!!
Sorry to hear about your loss. Pearly jawfish don't take well to any competition in my (unfortunately) limited experience. A had a pair that didn't last a week with my clowns and royal gramma in the old tank. Clowns are damsels in disguise...and can be equally as territorial.
one thought is my female may be prego so they are gett.ing very territorial. I dont see any eggs but idk. she seems to be in the bottom corner alot laying on the bed lately
