Default Possible ick??

Tryin to help out a fellow reefer here-

If a fish were to have white spots one day, then not the next- only to have them return, what would this be a sighn of? Would it be ick??

Anyone able to describe the life cycle of ich for a new reefer?

Could we get some examples of things that would cause a fish to get ick?

Just lookin for some outside info- outside the chat box. Would be very helpfull to get some info from some other reefers.

IMO it is 1 of 2 things.... ick or sand stuck to the scales of the fish. Atleast 8 times out of 10 I would say ick, unless it is a bottom dweller that stirs up or sleeps in/ on the sand... which is still not common for the sand to stick to the fish.

I know my trigger has had "white spots" on him several times, however it is only when he sleeps in a certain spot and stirs up the sand.... I was worried it was ick, but upon further inspection ruled it to be sand.
