Mantis shrimp are sweet and some softies just to make the tank stand out a bit.

You can supposedly keep dwarf lionfish in that size. However you would probably want to hand pick a small specimen and trade it out as it gets too big for the tank. It would probably depend on how you feel about trading fish all the time.

i plan on only living where i just moved to for a year maybe year and a half until i buy a house so at that time it would be a good time to sell them and upgrade to a large tank finally. this is only a temporary tank for me for about 1.5 years thats why i dont want to do coral and stuff and just do a fun predator tank.

No room? I know how that goes.....

I would turn it into a crazy invert tank. Collect a bunch of predatory inverts that you dont typically want in a fish only tank. Toss some feeder guppies in every once in a while and observe the hunt! Put a red LED for night veiwing and keep it dimmly light during the day. Could be pretty cool! Maybe collect some crazy sponges or algeas in the tank while you are at it?

    Just a thought....

yeah i already plan on getting a green brittle because i dont think fish would normally eat them unless they are very large but i want to do some sort of fish. i think i am swaying more toward the fuzzy dwarf or fu manchu lion, some sort of puffer, and possibly one other fish maybe a small trigger or something. i want the green brittle though because if some fish tear up some golf fish and dont eat them whole i know the green brittle will eat the leftovers for sure!

here is a picture of the tank, it looks rather small in the picture due to how it was taken but the rock on the right is about a 10x10x10 piece for size reference, it weighed 12 lbs dry:
