About the same initially. They don't seem to live as long once acclimated.

i would say the are the same. i have had a mandarin for well over a year and a half with no problems. about 10 months ago i added a red scooter to the same tank. they both do really well together and i have had no issues with them feeding. about 6 months ago i noticed that both started accepting frozen foods, although the still continuously hunt for food day and night.

Im so happy to report that Scooter is not only eating pods but.....I put a small glass ashtray into the tank and added some PE Mysis/Rods and NLS pellets. All of which he's happily munching away on!! Nope wont have to worry about him starving!!
