i have a question
if there are two clowns in a tank do thay alway bed together ? at night dose this mean any thing or is this natchrall for them

how many clowns of the same type can live in a single tank ?
what is a good # too keep together ?

lets say there are 6 clowns (all the same)in the same tank is it posable to have 2 breeding pairs

You may end up with 3 breeding pairs. Clownfish are hermaphridic meaning they are all the same sex untill put in a pair and they figure out by themselfs who will be the male and who will be the female. Then one switches sexes.

one thing that can happen with more then 2 clowns is the domaninat pair will kill any out siders. my clown do bed together its kinda cool. if you have a big enough tank more then one pair might work. also the bigger one will turn to females the smaller will be males.

ok so my tank is a 55 gal i love the clowns how many of the same type would you keep in the tank at the same time?

and if there put in all at the same time. i would like 4 or 5 is this ok

it is a perc clown with some different lines. i think it sold for a couple hundred dollars.. in a 55 2 is about all you can have. but some people have had more that that.

anyone have GSM or WSM clowns spawning? what are the signs? anyone?

My GSM behaves similarly, and he/she is alone in the tank (not that it means anything... she may be wishing she had a mate.) If you end up with little clown babies, let me know... I might be interested in aquiring a pair of tank-bred maroons.
