Thanks Greg!:o
I first read about this fish shortly after I got into the hobby and was (of course) enthralled by its beauty. After a little bit of research, I realized that it wasn't a fish I should keep at the time. Since then, I have seen so many of these lovelies at the LFS, waiting for someone to take them home... but I can't help but wonder how many actually survive for long. It breaks my heart to think that so many perish simply from lack of information on the part of the reefers that (try to) care for them.
I hope to soon have a system that will support a Mandarin Dragonet!
Hendrix, my dragonette has been with me for three years. He lives in my seahorse tank and loves frozen foods. He also likes to have his piccy taken!

Super little guy David...
I see you have the beautiful clear flatworms as well.... I love these flatworms but it seems I killed the population when we moved because I haven't seen one recently.

I dislike those flatworms... I have a few in the fuge..but none in the display. Hendrix actually eats them! If he doesn't ingest them, he surely snicks 'em in... I've watched him snipe them from the glass over and over again.
You know that those lil "ghosts" completely DEVOUR copepods right? I watch them as they cruise the glass, envelop them, and what's real cool..is watching them pass through the glass-like body of the flatworm.

Ya, you can see mine has an orange belly full of pods.... and you can see his prey trying to run away to the left of him. Don't have a need for pods in the Mantis tank.... wouldn't like to see them in the reef though.
