My two occy's (one wild, one captive bred) have been in with my bta for over a yr now and neither will host it.... my wild actually pulled the captive bred out of it when I 1st introduced the captive bred one, talk about crazy huh?? They just host my mag float instead LOL
I have apair of Occys for 6 years now. They were hosting in a frogspawn for at least a year in my first tank, added a RBTA for 3 months before i changed tanks to the one i have now. They did'nt start hosting the RBTA until i was making the change over night and i had them in another tank over night.Been hosting ever since in the RBTA,and now they are laying eggs for the last 2 months.
I have a wild occy and a black and white captive bred occy and both host my mag float at night and spend the day going all over. I have had a green bubble tip, rose bubble tip, as well as frog spawn and some other "hostable" softies which they briefly swam by but never hosted. Lately after removing my rose bubble tip I have given up on bta cause they seem to pick spots too close to my beautiful sps frags that are glued all over. I may look into a purple long t. That could chill in a back corner of my tank. They seem to not climb as much... We'll see..

Percs are more likely to host than occies for sure. Maroons nearly always host too, sometimes too vigorously. Not sue but I think Clarkii usually are quick to host. But as stated any of them may or may not host.
