Default Yellow Coris Wrasse - pros/cons?

I am thinking of adding one of these to my ~55g display. Current friends are (2) ocy clowns, (1) ea banggai, coral beauty, black blenny. Looking for a splash of yellow. I had a basslet but he always hid in the back, so I relocated him to another tank with less rocks to hide behind... Tangs just don't do well in my tank. Sadly.

So, yellow coris wrasse? Good? Bad? Alternate suggestions?

I think that a yellow coris is an awesome fish. Simple yet elegant all at the same time.

I'll second the above pros and cons, and add what I feel is a con as well as two points that are neither pro nor con (but relate to providing a suitable home for them).

CON: They may feed on feather dusters

    1. They need a sand bed to sleep in
    2. They can be prone to jumping

    One more Pro-

Its hard to get a yellow like that in a tank w/o buying a tang, considering your fish list.

Great stuff, folks! My (all in one) tank has a lid, so there shouldn't be many opportunities to take the plunge. I have 2-3" of sand bed for burrowing too.

Had a featherduster for two years. Loved it. Then, it left its "tube" one day. We found the feathers floating in the surf. Month later, he was up and running elsewhere with much smaller feathers. In a place you couldn't really see him easily. He got bigger for a few months, and perhaps a month ago, I noticed he was gone (again). Hasn't resurfaced, not sure if he will. But, I will take that chance, I think.

FYI, losing their feathers is a method of reproduction for them. ill have to find the book i read that in.

I have had my yellow coris for 6 yrs (started with 5, down to 3).
Pros- pretty, add alot of movement to the tank
cons- have had them try and escape while I was feeding them or even when cleaning the tank. Gets a little unnerving when you walk by the tank and they go full throttle at the lid, the crash seems to faze me more than them.
Never had any problems with them and the cleaner shrimp, but both the coris and shrimp are good size.
