Just thought I would share my little reef I started at the beginning of the winter semester. It is a work in progress but is coming along nicely and I feel could be an extremely nice tank in the near future.

    Equipment list:

    Lighting: ledtric par30 20,000K
Filtration: Aquaclear 50 converted into HOB refugium with carbon and sponge filter
    Heat: Hydor theo 25 watt
Top off: Reef fanatic auto top off with aqualifter pump
Glass cleaner: Two little fishes nanomag
Flow: filter takes care of that its 200gph

    Maintenance:
Daily: test salinity, 250mL(1cup) water change, clean class, observe coral
thats actually all the maintenance I do with the exception that every couple of weeks I clean the filterI think the daily water changes and auto top off are the key to my success with a 3g tank.

my main goal with this tank was cleanliness and lack of equipment in the display as all the space I have is precious; As you can see, I feel i achieved this goal so far. Sorry about the cruddy pictures, i'll have to use to good camera at some point to do my little reef justice.
It takes a long long time to build a coral reef. Step by step the reefs survive on partnerships. And the most important partners are you and I.
